This Privacy Policy explains how Triangle Merchant Services LLC (“Triangle Merchant Services,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with Beer Cart, a point-of-sale and mobile ordering platform for golf courses.
Information We Collect
- Order information. Items ordered, order totals, tip amounts, the participating golf course and delivery hole associated with an order, and the time the order was placed.
- Contact information. Your mobile phone number, if you choose to provide it.
- Location. If you choose to share your location, it is used only to help course staff find you for that order.
- Payment information. Card transactions are handled by our payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
- Age verification result. For alcohol orders, course staff verify identification at the point of handoff. We record that 21+ was confirmed at checkout, which staff member checked ID and handed over the order, and when. We do not retain images of, or data from, the identification document.
- Technical information. Basic information such as browser type and IP address, collected when you load the ordering page.
How We Use Information
- To process and deliver the orders you place.
- To show your order status on your order page, and so course staff can contact you about your order if needed.
- To meet legal obligations that apply to alcohol sales.
- To detect and prevent fraud, and to provide customer support.
Phone Numbers
Phone numbers. At checkout, golfers may optionally provide a phone number. It is used only so course staff can contact you about that order (for example, if they can’t find you on the course), by a call or text sent from a staff phone. We do not send automated or marketing text messages. Your number is visible only to staff working your order, is hidden once the order is closed, and is deleted 7 days later. Phone numbers are never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing.
Cookies
The Beer Cart ordering page uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to work — for example, to keep your cart associated with your browser session while you order. Our website may also use analytics cookies to understand aggregate traffic patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent the ordering page from functioning.
Advertising and the Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, on parts of this website to measure how our ads perform and to show our ads to people who may be interested. It uses cookies to record things like the pages you visit and actions you take, such as starting a demo. Meta may combine this with other information it has about you. You can control ad personalization in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and opt out of interest-based advertising at optout.aboutads.info.
Phone numbers on orders
Golfers give a phone number with each order so course staff can reach them about that order. It is not used for marketing, and it is deleted 7 days after the order closes.
Third-Party Services
We use a small number of service providers to operate Beer Cart, including payment processing, website hosting, and analytics. These providers may process information only as necessary to perform those services for us, and only under obligations to protect it.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Data Retention
We retain order records for as long as necessary to provide the service, to reconcile transactions with the participating golf course, and to satisfy tax, accounting, and alcohol compliance obligations. Phone numbers are deleted 7 days after an order closes, as described in the Phone Numbers section above, or sooner on request.
Your Rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, request that it be corrected, or request that it be deleted. To make a request, contact us using the details below. You may ask us to delete your phone number at any time by emailing hello@beer-cart.com.
Children
Beer Cart is not directed to children. Alcohol may only be ordered and received by individuals of legal drinking age, verified in person at handoff.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
Business Inquiries and Demo Requests
When a golf course owner, manager or staff member requests a demo or contacts us through our website, an ad or a lead form (including Facebook and Instagram lead forms), we collect their name, email, phone number, course name and role. We use this information only to respond, schedule a demo and follow up about Beer Cart POS. We don’t sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing hello@beer-cart.com.
