This Privacy Policy explains how Triangle Merchant Services LLC (“Triangle Merchant Services,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with Beer Cart, a point-of-sale and mobile ordering platform for golf courses.
Information We Collect
- Order information. Items ordered, order totals, tip amounts, the participating golf course and delivery hole associated with an order, and the time the order was placed.
- Contact information. Your mobile phone number, if you choose to provide it, and your email address if you request an emailed receipt.
- Payment information. Card transactions are handled by our payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
- Age verification result. For alcohol orders, an attendant verifies identification at the point of handoff. We record only the outcome of that check and the time it occurred. We do not retain images of, or data from, the identification document.
- Technical information. Basic information such as browser type and IP address, collected when you load the ordering page.
How We Use Information
- To process and deliver the orders you place.
- To send you order status notifications and receipts.
- To reconcile cash and card totals at the end of an attendant’s shift.
- To meet legal obligations that apply to alcohol sales.
- To detect and prevent fraud, and to provide customer support.
SMS and Mobile Information
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from Beer Cart, operated by Triangle Merchant Services LLC, at the number provided. Message frequency varies based on your orders. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information may be shared with subcontractors that provide support services, such as message delivery and customer service, solely for those purposes.
Data retention. We retain phone numbers and records of consent for as long as necessary to provide order notifications and to document consent, and delete them on request.
Cookies
The Beer Cart ordering page uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to work — for example, to keep a shared tab associated with your browser session while a group is ordering. Our website may also use analytics cookies to understand aggregate traffic patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent the ordering page from functioning.
Third-Party Services
We use a small number of service providers to operate Beer Cart, including payment processing, text message delivery, website hosting, and analytics. These providers may process information only as necessary to perform those services for us, and only under obligations to protect it.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Data Retention
We retain order records for as long as necessary to provide the service, to reconcile transactions with the participating golf course, and to satisfy tax, accounting, and alcohol compliance obligations. Phone numbers and records of consent are retained as described in the SMS and Mobile Information section above, and are deleted on request.
Your Rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, request that it be corrected, or request that it be deleted. To make a request, contact us using the details below. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.
Children
Beer Cart is not directed to children. Alcohol may only be ordered and received by individuals of legal drinking age, verified in person at handoff.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
